Ayars Family Farm Tours
One of our core values as a family is education. We are excited to offer scheduled farm tours for schools, families, community groups or any other interested parties! Teachers: We are pleased to connect to any academic content standards you would like to implement. Provide us with your standard and we will create the connecting lesson and visuals!
We require a minimum of 10 people per tour group, with a maximum of 75. Fees for your tour are due prior to the start of the tour – contact us for pricing. Help us plan ahead for any special needs guests by letting us know ahead of time so we can make accommodations!
Free Genuine Vanilla samples are provided at the end of the tour. We offer one flavor to avoid any issue with food allergies. If you would like to place an order for a different flavor of ice cream, let us know!
Tour overview
Start your farm tour in our Event Center. This is where our tour begins and ends. Have a seat and enjoy a video about dairy products and farming, plus an overview of the tour plan.
Visit our Free Stall and Maternity Barns, where our mature cows spend their time, and learn how we care for them every day and as they prepare for the arrival of their calves! Next, we’ll check out the “apartments” at our Calf Pens, where you’ll meet and pet the youngest members of our farm family.
In the Milking Parlor and Box Stall Barn, you’ll get an opportunity to milk a cow yourself! You’ll also see how we milk our whole herd twice a day, every day, 365 days a year!
Before we wrap up our tour, you’ll get to view our Ice Cream Room, where we prepare our hand-packed small-batch ice cream. Each tour guest will get their own carton of ice cream to enjoy back in the Event Center!
